Furloughed deductions

Hi
Could anyone provide some advice please?
My partner has been furloughed and because of the cap this has reduced his take home salary by half. He is only getting the government 80% there is no top up from his company, but they have now made a 15% reduction from his furlough money, without his agreement, as management have agreed to make a company wide reduction.
A small percentage of the staff have been furloughed but to make the additional deduction from them doesn’t seem correct ?

Views welcome as I cannot source the official answer on this.
Thank you

Although wrong board, the company must give everything they claim to the employee. Thats the guidance for employers. So that is what they should be doing.

Your post isn't very clear - if for example he was paid £6000 per month but they've reduced this to the cap, that is fine.
If they're taking 15% of the actual furlough money itself, so the cap amount minus 15%, this isn't OK.
If he earned double the cap before, I hate to say it but getting paid £2,500 a month for doing nothing is pretty cushty, and an enviable position for many.0
