Bought A Used Car broke down 10 hours later

I purchased an Automatic 2010 Ford Kuga from a dealership after checking it over and test driving it with no issues and put a full tank of fuel in when purchased. Before leaving for work I found a document folded up in the paperwork where the previous owner had complained that the transmission was faulty and the vehicle went into limp mode, after the finance company took it in and checked it over the fault had rectified itself. When finishing my shift I got in the car, attempted to start it to find it failed to twice and success after the third try, driving it home I found it was struggling/choking between gear changes then high revs before it settled into the higher gear I had to stop off for around 45 mins to an hour and then the gear changes where smoother. Took it home and returned it to the garage the next morning faults had disappeared, I showed them the photos of the "Transmission Limited Function" and management light that showed up on the cars display and was issued a full refund there and then (Still waiting for it to show in my account but it's only been 3-ish days). Am I entitled to the £58 fuel back as I wouldn't have bought the car had I have known about the previous fault? I am already £200 down from the insurance changes and taxing the vehicle

Probably not but they might let you take it home with you0

You'll only lose a months tax, the rest will be refunded.0

You have to apply for the road tax back,it's not automatic. Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!0

Sounds like a lucky escape if it only cost you £58.
The insurance and tax isn't their issue, as you'd have had to pay that regardless.0 -
No, because any warranty deal would be on an RTB basis. On the same principle, nor are you entitled to your bus fare back from the dealer. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

If it has the Powershift transmission, automated manual,(there is an alternative description, no "f") then you could have dodged a very expensive bullet!

£58 is a cheap lesson to learn for a 10 year old Powershi(f)t0

This is what happens when people do not service a Powershift gearbox properly. How many have the oil changed every 3 years or 38k miles. Even ford garages seem to miss this and need reminding.
Our '13 70k miler is still fine and I do a lot of towing.0
