Cancellation advice for RyanAir

Hi
We are booked to travel to Fuerteventura on 4th July, of our party of 8, 1 is recovering from cancer so has been self-isolating, 2 have heart conditions (but allowed to fly) and have not left the house for 12 weeks.
The flight is scheduled to go ahead but after isolating for so long don't want to risk the airport so we've cancelled our accommodation and just have flights left. I know that this is classed as an inclination to travel but have no idea if the flight will actually go ahead and could be cancelled anyway. I've read that you can change your flights with RyanAir for a later date (but don't know when we can travel again) or can they offer you a credit note?

Just after a bit of advice on what we should/can do, please.

With Ryanair I think you need to hope the flight in cancelled, have you checked on their website it's still listed?

Yes, and you can check in but I've had friends with EasyJet that had it as being active up to a week before. Got a feeling they are waiting for you to cancel so they don't have to pay!

That is exactly what they are hoping you will do, Ryanair aren’t famed for their generosity. If they do still fly then yes it’ll be disinclination to travel and the money will be lost.

You are going to have to hang on until the very last minute with this one I think. You’ve cancelled the accommodation anyway so there’s nothing to lose from waiting to see what happens with the flight.

Hi. I wondered if anyone has any idea or maybe gone through the same process. Ryanair have cancelled my return flight but not the outbound. There is another flight home the same day as the original return flight, so if I book this flight, what happens if Ryanair then cancel the outbound flight later on? Can I still get refunds on BOTH flights? I don’t want them to be able to say I can’t get a refund on a flight if I have already re-arranged it.

Then if you change the inbound leg  and after that they cancel the outbound leg, you are still able to cancel the whole booking.

With the flights on the same booking you are entitled to a refund now for both flights.

If you do want to book the other flight home, then you would need to keep that on the same booking in case they later cancel the outbound.  Get in touch with Ryanair and ask them to amend your existing booking to put you on the other flight back.

ok, so as long as it's on the same booking, I can get both flights refunded, regardless of whether one of them
has been changed. Many thanks for your replies, everyone.
