Book a flight using a mnba cc through Expedia.co.uk The flights to Argentina with lufthansa airline has been canceled, And now we are in a Dilemma. Went to the airline they said 4 months for refund, then went to Expedia to request a refund they said go to lufthansa yet we booked it through Expedia. Then went to Credit Card they said 30 days now has increased it to 45 days stating a claim section 75 it takes as long as it takes yet the credit card has been paid in full.
Some people say they are legally bound by airline to refund within 7 days or travel agent 14day or are these just made up???

It seems they like taking the Money but not refunding it
Any ideas on this please as money is desperate now and I am struggling

When a flight is cancelled the airline must refund within 7 days, as per EU rules.  A few of points:

    1) You booked via an agent, the EU rules don't make any specific reference to agents.  However it is your agent you should be dealing with and not Lufthansa.  In any event the 7 days is out of the window currently.
    2) 95% + of  all European flights were cancelled in April and May, the airline and travel agent customer service teams simply aren't set up to deal with this volume of refunds or customer enquiries.  Yes, it's incredibly frustrating but it is the reality of the situation.
    3) In theory the fact that Expedia want to wait for the refund from Lufthansa is not your problem as you booked (and I assume paid) Expedia.  That said everyone needs to manage cashflow and it's likely a lot of travel agents simply don't have the cash reserves to refund without waiting for money from airlines.
4)You'd be doing no better if you'd booked directly with Lufthansa, they are quoting upto 4 months for refunds with pax who booked directly with them
    5) If you are desperate for the money go back to your credit card.  Under Section 75 they are jointly liable for the transaction.  Tell them under EU law you are entitled to a refund within 7 days, that hasn't happened, the airline/agent are in breach of your contract and law, so wish to claim.
