Vinyl over tiles in shower?

Hi all,
The (mosaic) tiled floor in my shower has seen better days. It's solid but the grout is a mess and I'm thinking of replacing it with wet room non-slip vinyl.
Can I just vinyl straight over the tiles?

If the hight of your new floor is not an issue easiest and fastest way is to put some self levelling compound on it to get flat smooth surface to lay vinyl on.1
