Help! Insurance query.

My husband got a new motorbike yesterday and transferred the insurance from his old one (leaving the old one uninsured).  He absolutely forgot that he has to take the old one for an MOT before he sells it.  The insurance only has a month to run.  Is it possible to add the old one back on for that month?  Thanks.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

He needs to ask his insurer. Only they can answer the question.
BTW if it's not insured he needs to SORN it.

Thanks for your reply.  He is going to ask the insurer today, but I thought I would ask on here first.

If he takes out a new policy, he can cancel it within 14 days for a pro-rata refund, less any "policy set up" charges. That may be his cheapest answer for short-term cover.

Or will the test centre collect it relatively cheaply?

He is on the phone to the insurance company as we speak.  @ AdrianC - However I will pass on your advice if he has no joy.

Hi there again, just to let you know my husband has taken out some short-term insurance until next Friday (about £60).  Thanks for your help.
