Transferring from HL to Vanguard

If my only holding is Vanguard FTSE Global All Cap Index Acc, do my investments remain in the market during an account transfer (S&S ISA) from HL to Vanguard?

If you want them to, but transferring holdings in specie can take way longer than you might expect (months rather than weeks).

I think as long as I remain in the market it’s not a concern for me, as I have no intention of making any changes or further contributions until the next tax year.

I asked Vanguard what was the most efficient way to transfer a pension, cash or fund, and they said that it wouldn't make a difference time wise.

They did advise letting HL know that I was doing the transfer though as that may help.  Of course, they also said that because of covid it may take longer than usual.  I decided to leave it till next year and just add any new funds to a new SIPP on Vanguard for now.
Think first of your goal, then make it happen!

With Vanguard, length of transfer time all depends on the external platform you are transferring in from. For example, I just had two Santander ISAs transfer in within 10 days but I have a Nationwide transfer that is still in progress after 4 weeks.

Has anyone gone from Vanguard to iWeb in cash within S&S ISA, who can advise how long it took to move over?
