    Previously, her income was 75% physio work, 25% wedding work. 

    She didn't work in a nursery as stated here.

    The OP presumably works five days a week. Wife works 2 days per week. Could the OP shift their working pattern to enable the wife to resume her 2 days work as a physio? Or could the OP work from home for two days, thereby taking care of their young child while wife is out of the home (plenty of people doing this at the moment)? OP could even consider using 2 days annual leave per week, enabling wife to work?
