Family holidays complications

hi all. My parents, my wife and kids, and my sisters husband and kids are booked to go to Spain. Parents booked the accommodation, and all three ‘groups’ booked their own flights. My family’s flight has just been cancelled. Has anyone got any thoughts on whether the others can cancel the holiday and claim on the insurance on the basis that we cannot go?

I doubt it very much - they can still travel and there is nothing preventing them from doing so.

It wouldn’t be something that the travel insurer will entertain I’m afraid, it will come under disinclination to travel.

What date?   Am sure if your flights have been cancelled the others should follow?   Be patient but no don't suggest anyone goes ahead and cancels of their own volition.
