Furniture ideas

Hi all,
We're in the process of purchasing a 2 bed house. We are struggling for ideas on where to put our furniture (sofa/coffee table and tv stand)
Just seeing if I could get ideas/thoughts from someone else.

We had a similar issue in a previous home. We put a small sofa in the bay window and the larger one was parallel to your stairs so that you walked from the hall door behind the sofa to the kitchen door. Our kitchen door was more to the right than yours though so effectively we had a straight walkway from the hall to the kitchen.

As far as the TV is concerned, it does depend on which way the window faces and where the sun will fall in the evening when you are likely to be wanting to watch it.

Looking at your image again, how do you access your stairs?  Our stairs came off the hall.
