Car insurance with accident history is cheaper? How can this be true

I have had a couple of car insurance quotes from Moneysupermarket.com and Comparethemarket.com.
About half a year ago I had a car accident that was not my fault.
So when I input that accident the cheapest quote that comes up is circa £430 PA with Go Skippy
When I however decide to check what the price would be if I never had the accident, the cheapest quote is with Admiral for circa £480 PA with Go Skippy not coming up on the list at all.
What is the logic behind it? I don't understand.

Well, I did a similar exercise a few months ago but getting quotes with and without NCD. The quotes without any NCD were coming out cheaper than the ones with 9+ years NCD Confused... no, perhaps the meerkats are!!0

GoSkippy may have detected that you are fiddling details and therefore retreated to the other end of their bargepole?

Yep. The insurance companies can see the quotes. Always use fake details when doing dummy quotes or you can end up with some explaining and/or convincing to do.Zorillo said:GoSkippy may have detected that you are fiddling details and therefore retreated to the other end of their bargepole?0
