Paid with multiple cards

Hello everyone
7 of us were due to fly to Tenerife on the 16th June. This has been cancelled and TUI are processing our refund. However, we paid on multiple cards. My partner, my credit card, my sister in law and mother in law all made payments toward the holiday.
Some of the cards are now expired, I have asked TUI for all the money to be refunded to one card so we can distribute back where it has come from and they have refused and said if the card is expired it will go to another card on the account. We don't want the refund to go to a credit card as the money would come in handy in our own bank accounts. Surely we are entitled to a refund how we would prefer? We are all family and live 300 yards away as the crow flies so we aren't going to steal anyone's money. Can anyone offer any advise on this or what our refund rights are when it comes to choosing how it's refunded?
Thanks in advance
Steve
