They are nice and cheap but at a price. I had to fight to get my refund of about £100 after changing tariffs. In the end I went via Resolver and that did the trick.

I am with these and up until now not had any problems with them, but i find their tariff is high now compareed to others. Debating to pay the exit fee and run while the energy market is cheaper.

I left UP early May 2020 and I got UP bill a few days ago and they had charged me for the whole month and used estimated reading for the last day.

I got my Zog bill yesterday and it started from the day it was meant to so I sent and email to UP and the reply was Zog never sent reading to them and I sent a reading to Zog and UP the same day and I explained this and the next reply was they have redone my bill and then they gave me details of how to pay them the £90 odd deficit.

I have checked my account and unless UP's "credit" means deficit then they owe me as I have overpayed them.

I have sent another email to them so it maybe that UP are playing the stalling game when it comes to paying ex customers their credit back.

I doubt very much that U.P have issued your final Bill/Statement yet merely a continuation account statement.
My switch out from them completed on 6th May, they automatically set my DD to Zero, they  automatically asked for monthly reading on 20th which for me was same as 6th, no final Bill yet I am hoping and expecting that event will exceed 6 weeks period, also hoping they fail to refund credit within 10 days of final Bill/Statement. :)

After 4 emails back and forth and UP rep stating that I owe them the last email said sorry they made a mistake and UP owe me money and I should receive it 6-8 weeks time but there maybe a "delay due to COVID staffing levels" at UP.

I have checked the latest bill from them and it is correct and the exit fee is included so all I can do now is wait out the weeks and see what may or may not happen.

Supplier fails to refund an owed credit balance within 10 working days of sending a final bill. £30 compensation by former supplier

U.P had same delays last year  D they have been working from home :D

Taken from above thread 15th February "and a further £30 if that automatic compensation is not paid within 10 working days"

From 1 May 2020, the customer's old supplier must pay out if it fails to issue a final bill within six weeks of a switch.

Everyone thinks UP are great until it's time to leave. That's when the fun and games starts.

I must say, I do have to defend utility point. I was with them for about a year for gas and electricity (separate tariffs)
I moved my electricity over to green a few months ago, that all went quite painlessly. They stopped my direct debit appropriately and they did bill me the following month but a quick phone call rectified that without issue and then i eventually got a final bill within 6 weeks and the credit was returned to my account.
I have recently moved my gas back to british gas on 30th April. I received an email exactly 6 weeks to the day later (very convenient!!) saying my final bill has been made and they owe me a credit (which is accurate) Lets see when the money comes back into my account....

My experience has been pretty positive with utility point. Perhaps i've been lucky. (contrast it with symbio who now supply my electricity, they're a nightmare!!)

I checked my UP online account yesterday and it showed a credit refund for the amount owed and zero balance.
I have checked my bank account and the credit from UP has been paid into my bank account and is ready for me to spend.
Maybe UP are on the ball now or I was just very lucky.
