Could someone on MSE give me some help please.
I took out Worldwide travel insurance in February this year to cover our trip to the USA in April with Leisureguard, underwritten by GlobalAllianz.
I claimed for a cancelled villa booking due to the FCO travel directive and the USA ban on British visitors.
I have had my claim turned down as they say Coronavirus isn’t covered.

You're going to need to read your policy wording and see what you are and aren't covered for, and crucially what exclusions there are.  I'd say it's unlikely that the policy would specifically exclude Coronavirus if it was purchased in February, although it's not impossible, so do have a look.  They might have a more broad exclusion of pandemics.  Some policies won't cover you for FCO advice, or it would be an added extra or depend on the level of cover.

It's important you read the wording that you got when purchasing the policy, as Leisureguard have more than likely changed their wording since.  If you can find no obvious exclusions in your policy and you believe you have a valid claim, then raise a complaint to Leisureguard, and if you still don't get a satisfactory response you can go to the ombudsman.

Seems a quirk  with some insurance.
No FCO cover, but also has a policy that you invalidate your insurance if you do travel.
So if someone cancels the insurance won't pay, if they do travel, the insurance won't pay, so basically worthless.
New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.
