CR-V Sat Nav

Hi

Recently a friend bought a honda cr-v 2003, but his sat nav wasn't working when it was bought. The dvd is scratched up and it may be the cause but I've read in another forum that these particular sat nav units are problematic and the whole unit may need to be repaired/replaced.

Could anyone who has a cr-v / accord / civic around that year let me know if they would be able to send me a copy of their dvd. I believe the version needs to be 1.xx or 2.xx. I'll check later what version he has.

Buying a new dvd from the dealer would be a waste if that isn't the problem in the first place.

  • Try ebay for a disc first. Or ask any neighbours who have a Honda. I think any version will work.
Go to a breakers yard to get a disc too!

Do all this BEFORE replacing the unit............

We've never had any problems with sat nav units in cars in the 11 years I've been selling them. Well, apart from the !!!!!! ones fitted in Pug 406's in the boot where they got wet...

    Thanks for the replies.

I guess I'll buy them a dvd off ebay and try that first. If that doesnt work I pass along the number you have given Rimski.
