Claim back fees

Hi i was wondering if anyone knows if i would be able to claim back a 2% fee made to me for using my credit card back in 2017.
The fee in total amounted to roughly £70.

If you're saying that a retailer levied a 2% surcharge for paying by credit card, then there were no rules preventing them doing that in 2017, but from 2018 onwards it's been outlawed - the new regulations didn't apply retrospectively so no claim I'm afraid.

If that's not the scenario you had in mind, post further detail of what fee you're actually referring to, etc....

Not enough detail to even begin answering the question Who charged the fee? What kind of purchase was it? Was the fee clearly displayed in their terms and conditions of the time? You need to provide much more detail if you want a better answer - but from what @eskbanker has stated above - if it was a straightforward surcharge for credit card - most likely not.

No. It was legal to charge for using cards back then.
