M.o.t replacement parts needed on car

Hi I recently had a car from a dealer. It was paid for by finance from an outside firm.
I took collection of the car without a test drive because of carona virus. The next day I looked at the car closer to find it had a lot of scratches on paintwork, the door seal looked like it had been eaten. Air con not cold . And only three months MOT on it. What can I do

You should have checked the MOY status before you bought it.  Your MOT will no doubt be extended by 6 months in due course.

    What car and age?

Polish out the scratches on the paintwork.  Take it for an air con regas and see if that cures the air con.

Was the entire deal done by phone or email, without so much as a single visit to the dealer's premises?

If so, you have 14 days under the distance selling regs to reject the car for whatever reason you want.

If not, then - congratulations - you bought a car.

All of those things could have been checked prior to purchasing.

Pay more attention before buying a car.

Going forward you would be prudent to assume a car with 3 months MOT which is not test driven  as being worth £100 mixed metals at the nearest crusher.
For now the dealer has seen you coming and my view is that you will never get anything back. This is because the sort of dealer who does not put fix the car so it is capable of receiving a  fresh ticket is also likely  to want to cooperate

    Any bets this car's a sub-grand shed?

With a buyer expecting a car in nearly new condition for the price.
