How to get a refund on Amazon?

I know this isn't an Amazon forum but i'm not sure where it'd be better suited.

I bought an item which had photos in the advert and when the item arrived it was different. Actually to make it easier i'll say what it was - it was a phone screen protector. Not a cheap one coming in at nearly £10 but when it arrived it was no different to the £2 ones off eBay.

There were supposed to be 2 protectors - there were 3. No grumbling there but there was supposed to be 2 wipes - there was 1. Again, not a total deal breaker.

I used one of them to see if it was doable but it just really isn't. There's a hole in the protector where the advert shows a protector with no hole at all. It's just awful.

I thought i'd shot myself in the foot but as i read through the reviews i read one from someone who said basically the same thing - they bought wanting a full protector and got one with a hole in it. They tried one out but it's just no good ... and thankfully they got a refund from Amazon.

I've had a look everywhere but can't find how to do it.

I then read you need to wait 3 days after delivery - which was yesterday, but even today there's no refund option. I go in to "your orders" and there's just no option listed there for it.

It was only this other reviewer that made me think i may have a chance of one. Just posting here to try and find out if that's the case or not.

    I have return options available for items I purchased months ago.  Seems they have extended the returns timeline
    so no issues returning an item.

    Just double checked and yep items bought on the 20th of Feb can still be returned until the end of this month.

    Order page click return item. Every item has either return or return/replace.

    order from China? Only experience I have similar to what you describe with amazons software  was a chinese seller

    Get on to live chat and ask them to sort it for you. They'll either generate a return or just refund you. Don't message or call, just use live chat. You'll need the order number.

    Regards Live Chat, I tried it last night. Have you tried it recently? It's not one of those Live Chat's that are only suitable for jobless or furloughed people is it?

     They have got some phone numbers working but they're hard to get the right contact details for. If you couldn't get live chat to work, send a message and wait.
    If you go to the order page within "My Amazon" you should see a drop down menu next to the item with options as to what you can do. If you get the "ask product question" that's a good way to contact the seller.
