We booked flights back in January with easyJet to Spain on the 19th of July, at the moment they are telling me my flight is going ahead but Iv contacted them stating my son is shielding till the end of July. I asked them for a credit on my account. They have told me to move my flights which would only move 5 days later or cancel my flight lose my money and claim back the tax? This cant be right can it????

All correct.
You are choosing to cancel , the shielding part is not a reason to let you cancel.

Hi beckaduz...You will have to wait until nearer the time to see what the state of play is then. If you cancel now, then it is voluntarily and carries the penalties set out in the t's and c's. If the flight is cancelled you will have a claim. Your son shielding would not be considered in case of a claim - sorry to say.0

You should be able to move the flights to anytime up to May21 and just pay the price differencebeckaduz said:They have told me to move my flights which would only move 5 days later or cancel my flight lose my money and claim back the tax? This cant be right can it????

As suggested by Life__Goes__On, this is directly from the easyJet website:
".. we understand there is uncertainty around travel at this time, so if you currently have a booking with us but would prefer not to fly then from 13.03.2020 you can now change your flight online and we will waive the flight change fee. This applies to all existing and new bookings until further notice. Should there be a difference in fare you’ll need to pay this - however by waiving the change fee, we want to ensure you have more flexibility to amend your travel plans."0
