I am an existing customer of Barclays, been waiting for progress on our remortgage application since March. Our last valuation was done by Barclays in 2018 with LTV less than 30%. In Apr they told us it would  be desktop valuations then it went silent for two months. We were then told desktop valuations are not working so we will have to queue for physical valuation. What a nightmare 😫😱

We put in an application to re-mortgage with Barclays only 20% of property value (we are existing customers) in February.  We are still waiting for a completion date.  We only got information when we chased them.  Every step seems to have taken 3-4 weeks.  It has been a complete nightmare but we are nearly there now.
Oh noooo....your application was submitted  before mine and your LTV was low as well. I really don't understand this physical valuation thing. Assuming the most unreasonable surveyor valued your property down by 10% your LTV is still going to be healthy and lower than the threshold. What is the point of all those waiting and queuing?!

took 6 weeks to offer for my remortgage to them from another lender. Kept asking the questions despite having the enclosed info via my broker.

But didn't mind in the end, got a decent tracker rate before they withdrew all but the last good trackers

I'v spent 4 hours calling L&G today spoke with four people and three gentlemen kindly asked me to wait and one lady who understood I was on the edge of breaking... and she was really kind and helpful and got me booked in for a physical valuation 22 June . She also told me my case was only received by L&G on 28th May so between 23 March and 28 May it was Barclays who was messing around and did nothing but telling me that my case was with the surveyor! There was no such surveyor at all!
