The bigger risk is probably the other way round, i.e. you infecting the staff with coronavirus.
NHS advised me last week re measures in place for reviews/etc, IE stay at home 7 days, take covide test few days before, not go out, isolate and also asked if anyone in my house went out.  My partner works from home and we have been shopping online since the lockdown becuse I'm high risk.  Our post, we spray with antibacterials and leave for a few days as well as parcels etc, all left outside the front door. No visitors, etc - we only go out to the back garden - I will drive up.  Therefore, I'm less of a risk and I have P3 masks a grade above the N95 maks or whatever they are called that equal our P2 masks. We got the P3 masks in Feburary as any fool could tell this virus was highly contagious and would be coming to the UK.

NB: Anyone have any links to a credible site about breathing, being infected and passing on the virus via air other than cough, sneezing.

I have a hospital appointment next week and they will be using a camera to check inside me.
They will be wearing PPE and I'm worried about their gloves as many, non NHS staff see wearing gloves as a magic solution
EG, touch face, nose, other items and thenik they are immune.

My question is if someone has the virus no symptoms can the person within 2 meters of them catch the virus from their breathing?

I've looked on the net but nothing from WHO or Lancet, etc but there is some info from BS sites.
    Thanks
Not quite sure what you mean with this. Nhs staff wear clean gloves and have vigorous hand washing procedures before and after any form of invasive procedure. You don't catch covid from someone's breathing no. Its from respiratory particles down the back of the throat and right up the nose (have a look how its swabbed that will show you how far back it goes). If someone actively coughs or sneezes unmasked in your area you're at risk. Simply breathing, unless they're inducing sputum which would be unusual, would not omit covid particles

Just also like to add im a nurse on a covid ward. First week we opened we didn't need eye protection (it soon changed). A colleague got spat at by a covid patient. It went in her eyes. She never got covid. Last week she was told she has no antibodies so she's never had it. Its not necessarily present in the mouth unless inducing sputum. We're all still learning about this virus. Im 6 weeks in and everyday there's something new so any advice I can give is only what I've learnt caring for these people, I havent actually read any credible sources and right now would be reluctant to take anything on board as its very new in the world of science. Things have changed alot since we started 6 weeks ago due to conflicting evidence

    Thank you jazzyja
Just been watching the news and I have said this to my family before. Why delay the mandatory wearing of masks on trains and other crowded areas even when you are just out and about on the road as everyone wearing a mask even if it is home made will drastically reduce the risk.
This gov, like everyother gov, put politics first and the public last.  About masks, the NHS has their PPE supply line now and and many people have similar grade masks to the NHS or higher EG FFP3 as many builders, decorators wear them and bulk buy them in advance.
The danger is the public is now bearing their heads in the sand and have not noted the massive news during the last three days or so IE the UK's daily death rate from Covid is HIGER than the combined EU figure.

Thank you all that have helped here, thank you.
