Windscreen claim date
Renewing insurance, asking for caim date for windscreen replacement/damage.
Booked through autoglass who handled insurance on the 26/07/2019.
Job done on the 30/07/2019.
I'm guessing date of claim would be 26/07/2019? Sounds silly, but important to get insurance details correct than a void and cancellation.
Also while I'm here, only one site at the moment, getting quotes, if another asks for cost, how would I find out? I only paid the excess.

Just say Not known, Excess £XXX
And yes ... use the 26th. But in the grand scheme of things it won't matter a few days either way; it's the fact that you declared it that matters.1 -
Thank you
Looks like a windscreen claim has added to the premium but cheaper than replacing myself.

Didn't know you had to declare windscreen claims? (Don't shoot me down - living and learning)The force is strong in this one!0

Any idea if glass claims make much of a dent in premiums? I will of course declare now I know.
Thanks for the clarificationsThe force is strong in this one!0 -
I made a glass claim and had a no-fault accident settled by the third party insurers last year. My premium this year was the cheapest I've ever paid.1
