Furlough

Does my employment contact remain valid while I have been furloughed. The contact states I cannot work for another employer or have other business activities unless I get written consent from the employer. Does this clause remain valid if on furlough
Secondly if I were to return to work after furlough but on a different income would the terms of my contract remain intact or can these be adjusted.
In short I am looking at a business plan for a new venture and would like to continue with out me employers consent. 

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unless your contract of employment has been amended by your furlough agreement or otherwise to delete the requirement not to work for another employer or have other business activities, that still applies.

A contract of employment can be amended at any time if both parties agree and the amendments are within employment law.
