Flight Refund

 We booked and paid for return flights to Adeliade via Dubai in 2019.The trip was to fly to Australia on the 4th March 2020 returning home on the 8th April. On the 22nd March Emitates emailed us and cancelled our return flight. We were unable to contact the airline, the travel agent or the UK FCO. We had to arrange a return flight home which cost £3000 ourselves, Now the airline will not give us a refund as it was booked through a Travel Agent and they keep saying they are waiting to hear from Emitates. Our travel Insurance company won't pay out until they do. Any help would be appreciated.
