No Communication Builder still not given date to return to house renovation

Hi, our Warminster builder stopped on March 23rd and since then has only been in contact with us after we directly asked them to. We still have no idea when they will return and we are living in a half renovated house with little electricity. Is there anywhere other than CAB that I can get some advice on how to deal with this. They have the money up front for the last part so we have to stick with them unless we want to go to small claims etc. Help! Any advice?

I don't suppose you've asked them if they or a member of their family are perhaps shielding?Daxy said:Hi, our Warminster builder stopped on March 23rd and since then has only been in contact with us after we directly asked them to. How is it the builders fault that they haven't been able to finish the job? Even if they are still able to work socially distanced, the chances are their suppliers of materials are still closed.
They've come back to you when you've been in contact, so why keep pestering them to see what's changed when you know the answer is nothing.
I'm not sure exactly what the response is that you're expecting them to give you.
