When you consider that this site is part of MoneySupermarket you should realise that the chances of them taking any notice of the people on here are pretty much zero. Big company with more important things to do than care what some users of a small subsidiary think.
I have thought of the possibility of setting up a new platform but it would take some work to get up and running and keep running and also may need to generate a revenue if there are any costs involved.
The site mentioned by Jones does have some bad points (niggles rather than major faults) but has a lot of features that make it superior to this for comping.
With the reduced number of posts on MSE now it has become clogged up with social media, widget and mag daily comps making it increasingly difficult to find the few useful posts.
The most useful part of the comp time boards for me is the weekly and monthly mag threads, the chat forum is about the only other reason to visit.

It's also really hard to post comps at the moment as there is now a limit of waiting 4 mins between posts, If you break this twice then you get blocked for 10mins, as the site thinks you are spamming. This has made it so hard to post as it takes so much longer, especially when I'm trying to get up the #winitwednesday or #FreebieFriday Twitter comps. It's so frustrating!

It normally means I just end up posting less after I've been blocked for the third time that day.
I didn't know that, but it is very interesting, and understand now why we have lost the folks that once posted hundreds of comps daily  :(

I suppose that's true, but didn't they ask us for feedback before they starting changing the forum?.
A lot of us did post asking for the comp section to be like before as it was so much easier to navigate.
It's like they asked for opinions, we gave them, and they haven't given it a second thought. What was the point of asking us if they were just going to completely disregard and ignore what we suggested?.
Considering that this section is hugely popular, you would have thought that a little more consideration towards it's users would have been forthcoming.
It's been a nightmare since they switched it over. No wonder people are giving it up as a bad job.

I've been saving my posts to drafts so that they are all ready to go and posting when I remember through out the day but it definitely takes significantly longer than before.

The problem with the research they did on the design was that they merely showed us a picture of what it would look like and then asked us about how important certain things were, so there was no way to know about some of the features that were being removed if it wasn't shown or missing from the picture. It's hard to list stuff off the top of your head that you take for granted like the quick search feature only searching for results in the forum that you are currently in. If we'd been able to use the new style before it went live, more issues could have been raised - whether those issues would have or could have been addressed is another question.
