There is a Google Maps error in my local area.
A quite obvious major error with the naming of a 2 mile stretch of road.
The road has highways road name signs along the length of it & the name has
not been changed or modified ever.
I have reported the naming error to Google on their online form twice once about 18 months ago & again about
6 months ago but Google Maps has never been updated.
Anything else I can do as it absolutely bamboozles all the delivery drivers around here??

Perhaps it is an intentional error to prevent copying maps.
I believe Ordnance Survey won a case about someone copying their maps as there was an intentional bend in a river that had been carried through.
Or it could just be an error.

We had the same problem where we live. Back in the days of printed street maps I wrote to all of them pointing out that they were all wrong. Any replies had had blamed it on OS. Satnavs were wrong too when they first appeared but are better now. Google maps has it right but, even with all the right information easily available the delivery drivers still have trouble finding us. If we are expecting anything we just keep an eye out for white vans wandering around looking lost.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

I guess you've followed these instructions: https://support.google.com/maps/answer/3094088
I expect that google have algorithms for prioritising changes / corrections to maps - it's probably along the lines of: the more people report the same issue, the more serious it's likely to be, so the sooner it will get fixed.
So maybe encourage others to report the same issue.
You could try reporting it yourself multiple times, but I suspect google's algorithms might spot that.

I reported an error in the route of the South Downs Way about 5 years ago, it's still not been fixed.

Google maps correctly locates our new build street name but if you use the post code it drops you in an unspecified area of farmland within the floodplain about a mile away.
Even worse, enter the postcode into the Parcelforce website and it thinks that you are about 8 miles away.
I've given up trying to get Google maps updated after about 6 attempts by various means.1 -

Post code covers an estate circular cul de sac road. Google's post code is in the middle of a farmland some distance away behind the house group, with the result that sat nav take a totally incorrect route to the non-existant destination and gives up in the middle of the farm access track.
I've tried to correct it with google - just like you no result....useless.

Had no issues reporting to Google that someone had stolen Nottingham. They seemed to find the culprit and return Nottingham
to it's rightful place very quickly. Brief thanks email but no mention what what punishment they gave to the thief.
Always handy to set your SatNav even when its places you know. Had one detour me through some housing estate when I knew
the small industrial estate was straight ahead. Followed it and found myself just 100feet from where I needed to be. Slight problem
was the huge steel gates that looked like they had not been opened for 30 years.

According to Google maps The Starship Enterprise was parked for a while near here, a jolly jape from someone
Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
