Returning from maternity

I'm due to return to work in August after 11 months maternity. My whole department including the person covering my role are furloughed, so the same would apply to me on my return. How does the new rule regarding no new entries after 10th June into the furlough scheme affect me?

August is a couple of months away yet and your employer could ask people to return to work before you're due to start back. Also you won't be able to be furloughed because by that time it will be closed for those who have;t previously been furloughed. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/check-which-employees-you-can-put-on-furlough-to-use-the-coronavirus-job-retention-scheme. The scheme will close to new entrants from 30 June. From this point onwards, employers will only be able to furlough employees that they have furloughed for a full 3 week period prior to 30 June.
