Buy Euros to hedge against no-deal Brexit GBP crash?

My partner and I for example have moved some cash to another country as we do intend to buy a property there in the next 2 years. For us the conversion rate from Sterling to that countries currency is very good atm, so it was the right decision to move some funds over there. This is part of a long term strategy we are perusing as we also would like to do live there when the time is right. 
We didnt keep this cash in shares, as we want to buy a property and having the cash in stocks and shares less than the 5 year time frame is not recommended.

I have a house in Euroland which I am willing to sell in sterling. No exchange risk involved.

Interesting.  I would be looking at a combination of this and also investing in shares I think.  Thanks!
