Easyjet refund due to childcare issues?

My husband and I are booked on an Easyjet flight to Verona in August this year. Our 2 children were due to go and visit grandparents while we were away but due to health issues, GP has advised them they shouldn't have them to stay with ongoing COVID-19. Unfortunately, we don't have any other options for childcare, so I was wondering if we would be able to either get a refund for the flights or postpone until next August? Ideally, we would prefer to get a full refund. We paid on a credit card. Will it just be a case of 'wait and see'? Obviously we have travel insurance but not sure if they will cover this situation? We booked an Airbnb apartment which has a full refund cancellation policy so at least we know we can cancel this - it's just the flights that are an issue.

Unfortunately this wouldn't be acceptable grounds for a refund if the flights go ahead. If course they might be cancelled but nobody can say for certain.

However I believe easyJet are still operating their 'free amendments' offer which may allow you to postpone until next year:

"...we understand there is uncertainty around travel at this time, so if you currently have a booking with us but would prefer not to fly then from 13.03.2020 you can now change your flight online and we will waive the flight change fee. This applies to all existing and new bookings until further notice. Should there be a difference in fare you’ll need to pay this - however by waiving the change fee, we want to ensure you have more flexibility to amend your travel plans."

Search for 'easyJet change for free' for more information.
