Dirty Roof after ridge recap

We have just had our roof ridge recapped and some lead work around the chimney redone. The job was completed today and took two days.

During the process, large chunks of mortar and dust where falling off the roof. The Roofer stated he would clean up the gutters once done. On completion, he stated he cleaned the gutters, although we can't check if this is the case. He has however left the our extension roof looking like this (and the main roof in some sections) and was wondering if this is normal or acceptable. We highlighted this and he stated it will wash away in the rain. I pointed out that it will wash into the gutters and will need cleaning to which he replied it washes away and won't cause a problem and if it did we call him back to sort the gutters.

Is this common for any ridge recapping work?

Thats what he said too, how does that affect the gutters?

Is this common practice for roofers to leave it this way?

Plenty of crud rolls off the roof into the gutters all the time, those little bits won't make any difference.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

As EssexExile says, what's pictured is inconsequential.  I've no idea if it's common practice for roofers but I'd suggest you're worrying unnecessarily.  The roofer has said he'll come back if it causes a problem anyway.

All builders say they will return if there is a problem. "Just give me a call.". Oops what was that just flew past my window? Was it a pig? Oops no it was s builder who has been paid off for completing the job.

Seriously I had quite a bit of work done on my roof ,18 months ago  and I always make them photo the final result on my phone or camera and I check it it before I pay up and they leave the site. Especially necessary  with roof work only accessible by ladder.

If up on the extension roof we can just about see the gutters and this is what we found. It is full of rubble.. No chance this will wash away, and if it did it would be no good further down the drainage.

Par for the course for house maintenance. I use a garden trowel to clean the gutters twice a year.

What you are seeing in the gutter is nothing to do with the work done by the roofer.  It's a build up of moss and other debris from the roof.  Clearing that is your responsibility, not the roofer, unless you had also contracted him to clear the gutters while he was there.  The circled section of gutter is in a particularly poor state of repair and does need to be addressed.

It also looks like part of the roof needs some repair inside the circled area , part of it sticks out further than the rest into the gutter
