Water supply pipe insurance included with home insurance?

I'm having a bit of trouble deciphering the wording of the home insurance quotes I am getting.
In general where you get emergency cover included does it cover you for the supply pipe outside your property?
Some policy docs I have read explicitly say no but others are a bit more shrouded in mystery.
Does anyone know of a company that explicitly does include this cover or should I look for seperate cover for this from the water company?

I don't know if there a 'normal' or not, but my insurance covers me for leaks on the customer side of the stop tap at the pavement.
