Major Loss Claim on Home insurance - loss adjusters stalling progress

Just to keep it short. My neighbours burnt down their half of our semi detached halls adjoining Victorian house last July. My house suffered considerable water damage plus needs a new roof. My claim was agreed by my insurers  back in October and I have unlimited buildings cover. Yet my rebuilding contract has still  to be  approved by loss adjustors, despite using a chartered surveyor appointed by the insurers. This is starting to cause me some grief. I have covered some of the problems in other posts in the main forum.

Meanwhile I cannot get any explanation of cause of  delays or potential timetable from the Loss adjustors or my surveyor. I am stalled or ignored . I want to ask here, is there anyone on here who had to have their house substantially repaired after a major fire or flood damage?  Did the insurers,/loss adjusters give you any sort of timetable for repairs?  I cannot extract one for mine. And  why has the repair contract has not been awarded yet.?  I ask and there is always done spurious delay about how it is pending transfer or review.sonewhere in the system. Anyone else been  similarly stalled ? Next door rebuild is proceeding to timetable. I don't even have a builder yet and cannot get any reason for the delays ..

I think you're better off talking on the insurance board?

I have a comment on there but no one commenting has personal experience of being a customer with  approved claim  for major repairs on house eg flood damage, dragging on for a very long time. Was rather hoping to compare experiences with someone who has,  on how much information you can expect to be given by insurers. Hoped there might be someone here.
