Dispute raised with John Lewis over Ryannair Covid cancellation - timescale?

Hi,
Have raised a dispute with John Lewis based on a credit card purchase of flights from Ryannair that Ryannair said they would refund but have yet to do so.  I am aware of family members who have had such matters settled within days e.g. with Barclaycard.  Are John Lewis slow and what sort of time frame should I expect, it has been over a month, I appreciate they will be very busy but it is a reasonable sum of money in question.
Would appreciate any advice/experience as to timescales.
Thanks

You say you have 'raised a dispute'.  Does that mean you have also submitted an official written complaint?  If so, then John Lewis should send you their final response within eight weeks.  If you are not satisfied with their final response, then you would have the option to escalate the matter to the FOS

John Lewis are backed by HSBC so their disputes may well be being worked by HSBC teams.
Timescale wise is any ones guess.
When & how did you raise it?
Have you had to send anything in?
Refund showing on your account yet?

  • Spoke to someone at John Lewis finance, they said it can take 8 weeks just to look at it.  Disgusting when thousands of pounds are at stake and I've read that Barclaycard and others are refunding money in hours.  How do HSBC/John lewis get away with it.  I had to fill a form in, which I did on 2nd May, heard nothing whatsover since, and no money back.
