I am currently with endsleigh for building insurance with home emergency cover and their home emergency cover only covers up to £500.

Anyone have any recommendation for any home emergency cover which covers over £500? Whether as a standalone policy or to be bought with the building insurance.

Ideally looking to cover for emergencies such as burst pipe, boiler breakdown, drain blockage, etc. I believe boiler needs to be serviced once a year or is landlord gas safety certificate sufficient?

Also, do home emergency claims need to be declared for building insurance purposes?
