Taking up a deal before moving

Hello, on Friday I will be moving to a new house and want to take advantage of a best deal on energy, can I do this before Friday, as there doesn't seem to be an option, not sure if I will cut off existing owner if I am not technically in yet and it may all be a bit busy thereafter so u would like to do it now

Wait till Friday - ring the existing supplier and give them meter readings (take a photo) - then switch.

PS Don't forget to give readings from your old property.

PPS Today's best deal may be bettered on Friday.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

First you have to register with the existing supplier at your new address, and give them the meter readings you will take when you arrive on Friday, then and only then can you arrange to switch from that supplier to a better deal elsewhere.
If you try to set up a new account with a different supplier before you've registered with the existing supplier you will end up in a real mess.
