We have the advantage/dis-advantage of having the 11kV/240v transformer at the bottom of our garden and are the first connection. It means that the supply voltage is pretty stable, but always at 240-245 volts! We have found that the branded LEDs (Philips etc) appear to last longer than the cheap ones. However, it's still more economic to use the cheap ones as the branded ones are often more than twice the price!0

I admit to being a brand snob - always use Philips, but buy in bulk to get decent prices. Sadly the kitchen AR111s never get much discount :-(, but I've taken the financial hit and sleep better knowing we've saved 100s of watts!0
