Final EDF bill is high
I've changed from EDF to British Gas and EDF have sent me a final bill of £238.10 when the actual energy used bill is £33.12 why am I having to pay an extra £204.98. I always pay by direct debit but this bill amount is ridiculous and I've got until the 15 June to pay it, I don't have that much in my account

Have your direct debits been fully covering your charges each month? You should be able to see the balance on your account before that final energy charge on the bill you have there? If you pay the same amount each month it doesn't guarantee that you are not running up a debt, which is why you need to keep an eye on your account balance as well...0

More info please - got back in time until you have a bill with actual readings on them. What readings did you give BG when you swopped ? Don't forget that when you pay by DD that is only a guesstimate and you need to pay for the actual amount used.
I suspect that you were well in debt to EDF when you switched.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Did you check that you were not running a debt on your account prior to setting up the switch.
A monthly direct debit does not mean you can use unlimited power for that amount. If you sue more than you have paid for, as seems to be your case, then you have to pay for it.
Look back through your previous bills.0 -

Only with that will we be able to explain the bill to you, else we will just be guessing.
Also could you post a copy of the bill (or whatever evidence you have) to support the £33.12 bill you suggest would be correct.
If possible, also post a copy of the previous bill/statement you received from EDF prior to the final one.
