Rough Runner event cancellation

I had bought 5 tickets for the Rough Runner event in London in April, which was cancelled because of the lockdown. I have been offered the option to rebook or pass the tickets onto someone else. Neither of which I can or want to do, as we had originally booked the event as a final family event before we moved abroad. I have not been able to earn money since the lockdown so the refunded money would really help with expenses. Am I entitled to a refund?

It sounds like you should be entitled to a refund. See https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/cma-to-investigate-concerns-about-cancellation-policies-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-pandemic/the-coronavirus-covid-19-pandemic-consumer-contracts-cancellation-and-refunds
If you paid by credit or debit card you could seek a chargeback. If you paid by credit card section 75 Consumer Credit Act may help.0 -
Thanks, I will look into this.
