Extension of Furlough, do businesses have to contribute?

I've been very lucky and been furloughed by 2 of the companies I work for.

I manage bars and catering operations in stadiums, racecourses and large gatherings of 5k attendees+

As of August the employers have to start contributing however due to the climate it is highly unlikely mass gatherings will go ahead. Which means the businesses I work for will have zero income and I cannot conceivably see how they can afford to pay towards my wage especially when theire revenue is 0

My question is, is it mandatory for the employer to contribute or can they reduce my furlough to take into account what they need to pay?

Until the small print is out nobody knows if they will be any excemptions to companies that are not operating at the moment or not.
