Ryanair a new wrinkle
Ryanair flights, a new wrinkle: Cancellation of part of return trip.
So, I just happened to log on to my Ryanair account and noticed that my return booking for two, Manchester to Bologna at the beginning of September had been cancelled. No email, mind you. So I went through their routine to claim a refund but it said cannot do this because your flight has not been cancelled.
Looking at the booking in more detail I see that the RETURN flight on the 13th Sept has been cancelled but not the flight out on September 6th. I tried to do it again just claiming for the return flight, same message.
The 6 digit reservation code is for a return flight.
Is this part of a clever new plan by Ryanair?
My cancelled flight to France in April allowed me to claim a refund (offered a voucher later, offer not taken) but this is almost amusing.
We are not normally Ryanair moaners as we have used them 24 times in the last 11 years since retiring but surely….. Also at nearly 73 years I want refunds as there is no guarantee that in 12 or 18 months time I will still be around to use a voucher.
