Hi

I claimed the grant for the 3 months self employed but I was only off for work 1 month 20 days and was paid 3 months total.

will I end up having to pay any of this back as I had wages go into my bank for part of the 3 month period

also they have extended the scheme until August now I’m back to work in July 15 so I’m still out of work until then if I claim the August payment is this okay as I’m back to work?

i just don’t get how I can get 3 month payments for being off for half the period of time it doesn’t give you no option to select when you was off from just 3 months pay and that’s it?

im just worried incase I spend the money and then later down the line I get a call off HMRC

Part of the criteria for the grant is that you've been adversely affected. If you have been then you're entitled to the grant. The only person that knows if you have is yourself.  https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6151540/self-employed-grant-help-please#latest

There are no guidelines to say how badly it needs too effect you. There are no markers or tests . it only has to adversely effect you.
You were adversely effected because you took time off. (so you are entitled to it) You could have also worked elsewhere on your time off.
We will ALL be paying this FREE money back in the future , probably in the form of higher tax.

BTW first payment was for march /april /may
next one will be june/july aug (we do not yet know the full claim guidelines yet). if its same as old rules then you are again entitled if you stopped work due to covid
