Switched (or asked to be) to Together Energy at the end of April. They took money on the 3rd May and have not switched me. I'm paying twice. They said today they had switched electricity but not gas (I asked for dual fuel). Now I cannot cancel and I'm stuck with these idiots and out of pocket. Great advice. Have to go through a long complaints process.

If you have voluntarily moved to Together Energy, then you have embarked on the Road to Hell !0

Are you suggesting the supplier agreed to swicth your gas but then did not notify you if they could not ofor any reason?
You will not be paying twice for any energy, although you may have different suppliers now for gas and electricity if there is some overriding reason they were unable to take over your gas (assuming they originally agreed to)
You may also be entitled to automatic compensation if they have not switched you.
The complaints process of any energy supplier is not long. They have 8 weeks to resolve it, else you can ask the ombudsman for assistance.
You are never stuck with any supplier (assuming you do not have complex metering); you can alway switch again.

Thanks.
No complex metering. Told 'Eon refused to switch gas'. No communication from Together energy, telling me what is going on. My compaint hasn't even been given an agent to deal with. Will have to wait the 8 weeks. Idiots in customer services don't bother to look at records and make stupid comments. I have cancelled my direct debit to together energy as they have taken for gas also. Paying over the odds and likely to miss the best deals through their incompetance. Eon have not sent me a final bill for gas also and have not indicated I have switched. Yes may get £30 compensation from both at some point. But barely compensates for the extra cost of missing the best deals and the stress they are causing me; not knowing where I am. Will never switch to a new company in future, even with 4 stars which it had at the time of switching.0 -

Eon have not sent me a final bill for gas also and have not indicated I have switched.I would suggest that you make sure that you have actually switched away from E.ON, a quick Google will show you how to check who supplies your electricity.E.ON will need to receive the meter reading you gave Together via the intermediary company that 'judges' if it is accurate, before they can send you a final bill, so even that problem may actually be caused by Together as well.Cancelling your Direct Debit has the side effect that Together can put you onto an expensive deemed tariff as you will have borken the terms of the cheaper tariff you were initially on, so I wouldn't be inclined to just leave things as they are as you wait out the 8 weeks complaint period...0
