AIRBnB refund

Hi

My partner had a booking with AIRBnB in early July for a Hen do in Bath with all her friends and family (11 of them).
The wedding was in late July and we have have now postponed it until July 2021 due to the current circumstances.

AIRBnB have just updated their  Extenuating circumstances policy and the coronavirus (COVID-19) to include bookings up to 15th July which the booking falls into.

The thing is they have issued a
travel credit for the amount paid (about 750 pounds) but she ideally wants a refund as some guests have decided to pull out and one lives abroad and will now not be able to make it.

How does my OH go about getting a refund? I have read the T&Cs but I am confused over my options.

Thanks

Airbnb are giving people the chance to cancelled  and claim either a cash refund or a voucher as Airbnb sees fit.
If legally the booking can't take place, your partner should be entitled to a cash refund.

New User name as MSE gave me a number in my old one.

If you already accepted/received the credit as per the terms and conditions you are highly unlikely to get that back as cash.  AirBnB has notoriously bad customer service when things go wrong, and relies heavily on users of the site to sort things out between them
