It is tricky trying to find any information from Easyjet that mentions the fee after 24 hours, I think its in the way they're marketing it to imply there's a cancellation fee no matter what and it goes without saying that it applies 24 hours after booking. It just seems more appealing for them to say, "Hey, there is a cancellation fee but it will just come out of your FULL REFUND if you cancel within 24 hours."
I read lots of articles and other people's experiences along the lines of: 'What to do if you can't make a flight'. If you're cancelling your flight, you have to pay a cancellation fee whenever you cancel. They usual chalk the fee up to the admin cost of removing your details and re-listing the seat, especially if its somewhat short notice and they're unlikely to fill the seat in time.0 -
I have cancelled Easyjet flights and got APD refund and never been charged any fee
I suspect you cannot find any reference to a cancellation fee after 24 hours because it does not exist0
