Land Registry delays

We bought a house from a developer that had been part exchanged back in January. The house comes with one parking space which our solicitor found wasn’t registered on the deeds. Our solicitor has been working on registering this space on our deeds. This work started back in late Feb/early March and is STILL not completed.
Has anybody else been experiencing delays with the Land Registry? Has anybody had their case dealt with now from Feb/March?

Any particular reason why you need the Land Registry to complete the registration? If you've bought it and the deeds have been sent to the LR, that's it - it's yours. How long the LR take to process it isn't really all that important, unless you've got somebody else demanding to see a registered title in your name.0

If you don't yet own it, how can your solicitor register it?I assume in fact your seller is trying to register it? How do you know the delay is caused by the LR timescale? Perhaps the seller cannot prove ownership of the space? Perhaps the seller does not want to include the space in the sale and has not submitted an application? Who knows?

ALL Land Registry applications are being held up at the moment because a huge backlog built up during lockdown. There's a Land Registry representative on this forum, or you can contact them on their support forum: https://support.landregistry.gov.uk/landregistry
If you know the title number then you can ask if an application has been submitted, and how it's progressing. If there is an associated sale, the solicitor involved can also ask for the request to be expedited.1
