Mortgage holidays

I have my mortgage with Coventry Building Society and arranged for a 3 month mortgage holiday to cover April, May and June. That was a very straightforward process. I applied for a further 3 month extension as I had understood that this had been agreed between lenders and the Government. I have just been contacted by Coventry to say they cannot offer me the further 3 months until further guidance is published by the FCA. I queried this and was advised that, at this stage, all borrowers in my position are receiving calls rejecting their applications for extensions. Has anyone else had this experience?

I believe the FCA only announced the extension this morning so it's pretty unrealistic to expect it to have been implemented within a few hours.0
