Well I've had one pop up 5 times but didn't catch and that was earlier today. None others have been awake at all. I guess that's that then 😢0

Your hint 👉 qdco.me/squidcoJasper, Squid Rock has been about several times and has reasonable odds of catching, at a guess maybe 1 in 15 or 20. There are 1250 £5 prizes and if all of Quidco can be taken down by excess traffic there must be a couple of thousand players. When you get up to Dr Octo there are 483 £15 prizes so he's that much harder to catch. It's all just random odds whenever you open a page with a squid on it. Not everyone can win and maybe not all prizes get allocated but it's a promotion for the benefit of the company like everything on this forum, they need to generate sales or traffic or whatever they need to match the value of what they're giving away to entrants for free.Relax and enjoy the hope you might get lucky or if it upsets you leave it and don't let it ruin your day.gav

Perhaps the site wouldn't crash due to 'excess traffic' if they didn't release the squids in such a short window. There's only so many to be caught, so surely it wouldn't matter if they programmed their random release over 12 hours, or 1. Also if Quidco are trying to 'generate sales or traffic or whatever', then I would think a limited window, where not everyone playing the game may have the opportunity to play, would actually be less successful than a a longer game time.
If I'd have designed the game, I would have it that anyone who caught one of the 5 Krakens on the last day, as being a winner of the grand prize. This way everyone who has played will be treated equally with everyone who has already won. As it stands the lucky ones are being rewarded with more luck, while the vast majority who have probably contributed to site 'sales or traffic or whatever' (as they are the ones still searching everyday) are essentially given a two fingered salute. Just my thoughts.1 -

Surely the easiest implementation would have been for the grand prize to be the final set of three - Squidco, Squillion and Kraken, with Kraken being the one of the three that is restricted in order to achieve the required odds of winning? That way the grand prize can be won without first having to win all the other prizes.0 -
Out of curiosity, when/where did Kraken eventually appear???0
