Quote to lay a new patio

Had the following quote and wanted to see what you thought of it?  To lay paving (not including our choice of paving slab)
Dig out and create footing 6m long x 60cm wide and build retaining wall (block and brick) for new base
Remove old mortar bed from previous patio
Prepare sub base for 60m2
build 2 steps 7m long
build 2 steps 2m long
Paving to be laid on wet mortar bed, priming slurry on pavers and grouted with brush in resin pointing.
All rubbish and waste removed
£6500 not including our choice of pavers.  Been quoted £6,500 and told will take 2 weeks to complete.   What do you think?   I am based in Suffolk

  • We have just been quoted for taking up 50SQM  maybe more, approx of horrible concrete all laid in different sections, do all prep work needed and relay Indian sandstone 40sqm, prepare other part to lay as lawn, remove all concrete and do a small section at the front of the house with the same Indian sandstone slabs, also take up crazy paving down the side of the bungalow and remove. Price is just over £5k, that includes all the slabs. about 10 days work they reckon.
  • Kent here. 50M2, take up concrete and old patio, install drainage/soakaway, prep ground, lay sandstone slabs, and put in 2-3 steps into retaining wall, - all just under £9,000. The actual patio is the cheapest part. It would seem costs lay in what you need for prep and clearance.
