Morning all. Took my car for triage yesterday, verdict, it's quite well but cosmetically it definitely needs a new bumper...He'll email back prices and a hospital appointment for it today or tomorrow. On the way back I stopped around the corner to ask someone if I could have some of the wood they had outside that was destined for a skip he said yes, so I loaded the car up with various bits and bobs so we now have enough kindling for the coming winter and it's good stuff rather than the fence I was chopping up. I also wombled some floorboards from him as he OH has garden design on his mind and wants to cover an ugly bit behind the greenhouse with a shelf that I can use to put pots on. So we spent a while designing the appearance of that with neither of us undestanding what the other meant until we started drawing it out.Felt a bit rough yesterday afternoon, think I'd spent too much time in the sun what with loading and unloading the wood and then turning it into kindling so I for one am also looking forward to a bit of rain should it happen..I ordered another waterbutt in anticipation [ does that mean I've witched it now and it won't?] because one waterbutt does not a greenhouse water , or at least not for very long and everything is dry and parched. Only the two little olive trees at the front are enjoying themselves. Judging by the little lumps all over them if they survive, I will be able to pick my own olives this year...dumpling, commiserations for hospital stays again, hope thy can sort you out quick smart. Nice cheery colour Gers, glad you had a chat outside..Nelski, glad you enjoyed the social interaction too! Enjoy the day at the spa afterwards! nanny, you and me have the same problem, where do we put the stuff we don't want in one place usefully in another....don't work too hard! TA, that happened a couple of times when I was living in the flat. I did like the modern art take on 'Pigeon startled into starfish shape by unyielding glass'. Right, I must away and shower, late up today, so have a good one readers alongerer, take your time Tuesday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11

Morning all,Another lovely day but some rain is needed with everything parched, and it might stop the idiots taking bbqs onto the local moors.2 separate large areas have been on fire since before the weekend, needing multiple fire crews, mountain rescue and helicopters, grrr,Not to mention lots of folk having to keep their windows and doors closed in the hot weather because of the smoke
I caught the sun a bit yesterday afternoon, I went for a walk and after going up a hill and being a bit out of puff I decided to sit on the grass and ring my cousin for a chat, so my shoulders got a bit pink. Nice though, I could see far and wide.Dumpling, sorry to hear your health woes, hope you are sorted soon.Snoozer, oh dear, hope the plumbing isnt as bad as you fear.Gers and Camelot, nice you had a catch up, like the paint too.The house really needs a good tidy but it can wait
Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)12 -
I found the bottom of the garden. No rusty BBQ but a rusty fork, the big gardening kind. Handle rotted and the prongs are beyond repair. Would look rustic in a bistro for decoration! Any takers? Transformed the area into a nice arbour. Absolutely ideal for afternoon tea and virtual cake. We have empty water butts for latecomers to sit on, I don't mind how inebriated you are after Nelski's spa. You can roll off the barrel!!!

Hi everyone
Just catching up. I've been to mam and dads this morning and for a walk. This afternoon I'm going to do - nothing! Get comfy on my sun lounger and read my book and maybes listen to a couple of podcasts. Just make the most of the lovely weather before it rains tomorrow. My garden could with rain - my water butt is now empty and really don't enjoy going backwards and forwards from the kitchen sink with my watering can.
Hope everyone has a good day
